Whole Foods Market in Minneapolis and St. Paul are joining with the Minnesota AIDS Project to raise awareness of and funds for HIV prevention and services in Minnesota by hosting 5 Percent Day on February 11, 2009. The program will feature educational information about the Minnesota AIDS Project in-store and Whole Foods will donate five percent of its sales that day to support the work of the Minnesota AIDS Project.

The event will take place at the Minneapolis store (3060 Excelsior Blvd. in Uptown) and at the St. Paul store (30 Fairview Ave. S.) on Wednesday, February 11. Representatives from the Minnesota AIDS Project will be on hand from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. to provide more information about the organization as well as its upcoming Oscar Night(R) Minnesota Benefit. Oscar Night(R) Minnesota 2009 will be the twenty-second annual officially sanctioned Academy Awards(R) benefit held in the Twin Cities.
