Canadian Judge Educated On HIV A Little Too Late

A Canadian judge has been educated on HIV-AIDS.

According to the Toronto Globe and Mail, Judge Jon-Jo Douglas received an eduction about the disease after conceding he was wrong in ordering court staff to use face masks and rubber gloves at a trial where a witness had HIV-AIDS.

Several groups including the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network complained about the judge's actions.

The judge interrupted the 2007 trial of a man charged with sexually assaulting a fellow inmate at the jail in Penetanguishene, Ontario Canada.

He apparently said the witness would have to be masked or moved to another room and questioned electronically. Courtesy Bayshore Broadcasting.
